Sustainability is at
the heart of
how we work

Units 1-5 at Mercia Park is the first IM Properties' development to achieve Net Zero Carbon in Construction in accordance with the UK Green Building Council's Framework.
By making changes to the construction process, for example providing an on-site concrete batching plant, using biofuels as an alternative to diesel and changing concrete
mix design, the project team were able to reduce 'actual' embodied carbon by 20% from the estimated upfront carbon calculated at design stage.

Public open space including 12 hectares of woodland and approximately 4km of amenity paths.
All roof loadings designed for addition of PV panels
Estimated 32%
reduction in
regulated emissions
34 tonnes of carbon saved by using Green Diesel, made from 100% renewable materials
20% reduction in embodied carbon compared to initial estimates

On site concrete batching reduced deliveries by around 37%, reducing associated CO2 emissions by over 300 tonnes
98% of waste recycled
